I am a Clinical Professor of Management and Organizations at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and the Executive Director of the Dispute Resolution Research Center and Kellogg Teaching Resources. I teach management topics across undergraduate, MBA, and executive programs. I received my B.A. in Psychology from Yale University and my M.S. and Ph.D. in Management and Organizations from Kellogg.

I play an active role in the international academic community. I served as president of the International Association for Conflict Management and held additional leadership roles as program chair and board representative. Before entering academia, I worked in marketing, managing client engagements with public- and private-sector organizations.

My perspective has been shaped by living in many different kinds of places. I grew up in Boston doing traditional Chinese dance in Chinatown, spent time running through cornfields in Southern Illinois, learned how to rope in Oklahoma, improved my Chinese in Taiwan, and enjoyed the multicultural food and communities of Singapore. I have loved different parts of each place, and those experiences continue to shape how I see the world.

Outside of work, I spend time with my spouse, Joel, and our five children, often planning our next trip. I also enjoy boxing, climbing, running, yoga, and exploring Chicagoland.
